My Yellow Brick Road

Another good-bye
Another one learned...
They can light up the bridges
Laugh as they burn.

Now I was lost
Walking winding and crossed
Looking for something too keep
4 more than a while.

Glow of the gold
Caught under my eye
Found, discovered,
OMG!
realized...

The mind
The strength
The love
The song,
They're here now,
& were all along!

Looked down @ my feet
From where the light shone
The stones!
Maybe now
I can quit hoping,
I'm already home.

Life
My life
Your life intertwines.
We can sing or dance
or hate as we go..
I'm not clicking my heels
even now...
now that I know...
Cuz I kinda like walking
My Yellow Brick Road.

(Got this idea when I was in the mall
and had my phone set on sepia
and snapped this pic....thank you for reading...)

Adventure in Thrifting

We decided to take on the Goodwill Outlet in Green Hills in hopes to get some high dollar designer stuff for a low amount of dollars... we weren't so lucky ... but what we did find was SO much better!!!
Would've bought this encyclopedia collection if it had more music type stuff in it. I also considered the "Why I am Baptist Book."

Mammoth Fro...

Encounter

Oh one more thing....sorry but I think this is really funny....

While helping at the SGRRC showcase a very nice man (nice looking too) gave me his card saying something like..."You might find yourself in need someday...you might need to contact me." I said, "ok...thanks!". He walked away and I looked @ the card...

He's a historical re-enactor.

Southern Girls Rock N Roll Camp!

I had so much fun today volunteering @ the Southern Girls Rock N Roll Camp. I tried to help contribute to the songwriting workshop.... the girls wrote a blues number called....."Stinky Feet".... I also helped with the band Random Acts of Stupidity, whose single was "Awkward Silence". They ROCK!!!

And the showcase...holy moly dudes!...it was awesome...fog, lights, excellent costumes, hair, makeup...(shoot, I hope to play a rock show like that some day! haha).

Very Fun...very cool cause....very cool new friends. I can't wait till next year!

Junk Gypsy

I found this great site this morning:

I'm so inspired by these ladies' story and vibe......and it made me realize, this is so much like me!...i've been collecting random unique one of a kind junk ...necklaces....belts....shoes....forever but never really knew how to put them all together for outifts and such. These ladies made me realize...it doesn't matter...there is no right way....HAVE FUN with it...throw it together...be a junk gypsy. I wish they would swing by and pick me up, and take me with them!...

Here are a few pics from their site...

(i do not take credit for these pics they belong to Junk Gypsy Co.)

Me N Maggs well.....we're excited about findin' life's treasures in the junk pile......

but Chuck on the other hand, is a little scared of gypsies.......
